Full-Service Tree Repair
M&M Tree Care provides tree repair services (sometimes called “tree surgery) to maintain your trees and keep them healthy. Because every tree is different, our broad knowledge of many trees allows us to provide the best solution for your particular tree and its particular problem.
If you think about it, a pine tree grows and acts a lot different from a maple tree and both are different than an apple tree. While there are some general rules with tree care, there are also unique care methods for specific trees to meet their specific needs.
This is where getting the help of a certified arborist goes a long way when it comes to using your dollars wisely to keep those trees healthy and living for a long time. It does not necessarily cost more to use a certified arborist, but your trees will definitely experience the difference.
Here are some of the common issues we see when it comes to tree repair.
Damage from Storms
Wind, hail, lightning, and ice can all significantly damage a tree. Just because your tree looks terrible after a storm doesn’t automatically mean in needs to be removed. Your tree might have decades of life yet if taken care of properly, and repairing a tree may be less expensive than removing it.
Tree Disease
Just because a tree has a disease doesn’t mean the tree is a lost cause. It may be possible to cure the tree of its current threat, but you won’t know your tree’s potential fate if you don’t ask.
Tree Pests
If we can remove most pests at an early stage, generally your tree will make a full recovery. When you take action to eliminate pests right away, your tree has a good shot at surviving.
Tree Instability
For various reasons, part or all of your tree may become unstable. Often this happens during a storm, and the tree may be perfectly healthy otherwise. We can give support to individual branches or the entire tree to give the tree the stability that it needs.
What we won’t do:
We are generally not going to lop off the main branches of your tree unless they are already dead. The problem is, when growth comes back around where the branch was, it is often less stable than the old branch that was there previously.
This is why you don’t want a “guy with a saw” just hacking away at your tree. If the person has limited tree knowledge, they could end up making the tree weaker. Just like you don’t want your spleen taken out unless it is absolutely necessary, we want to leave all the main growth of the tree on the tree unless it is necessary to remove.
We also won’t try to sell you work that is unnecessary. If we think your tree can be saved, we will tell you about how to save your tree. If we think it is best to take down the tree and put in a new one, we will share that information as well.
